Good looking Hood Protector

Looks great - but what a pain to install! It looks so simple in the video - but it doesn't work like that when you get it home and try to install it.
The plastic inserts that go into the 4 middle holes are too small for the Ram 1500. They don't snap into the hole in the hood and then spin when you try to put the screws in. We tried taping them in place and that kept them in, but the rectangular raised tab that is supposed to fit thru the slot in the hood protector doesn't stick thru quite far enough to stop the spinning. We gave up and went to the auto parts store for a package of what I'm going to call rocker panel fasteners. They fit thru the slotted tab... after a tad bit of drilling on the tab and fit nicely into the holes in the hood. Whew, a 2 hours job that should have taken 20 minutes max.

Install difficult

The product is fine and looks great. The install design is good and utilizes existing holes however the fasteners provided are difficult to use and do not hold in the existing holes. That was disappointing. I had to develop alternative fasteners.
