How To Install WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors

So now that you've picked up your WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors, or vent visors, you can begin the installation process. Installing these window visors is simple if you follow these preparation steps to ensure a long lasting install.

Prepare Your Windows-

To get your car or trucks windows ready for window deflector installation, start by lowering the windows and using a mild soap to clean all edges, weatherstrips and cleaning with window channels. Allow ample time for the windows to dry before the next step.

Position the Front End of the Window Visors-

WeatherTech window visors are very durable, but care needs to be taken to not scratch them or cause other damage while installing. Find the front end of the window visor and begin by inserting the front end forward into the window channel. The deflector should go in until the curved part of the visor touches the weatherstrip on your car or truck.

Insert the Rear of the Window Deflectors-

Since the Front End of the visor is already in the correct position, bend the deflector slightly outward until the rear of the visor is able to be inserted into the rear vertical window channel. Now working from the front to the back, adjust the visors into the correct location until they line up with your window channels.

Rear Window Deflector installation-

If you have rear deflectors in your kit, installation is similar to the front visors in most cases. Be sure to reference the provided instructions for proper installation steps.

Finishing Installation of WeatherTech Window Deflectors-

Once all of the visors have been installed, you can raise the windows back into the closed position. The first time that you do this you may need to assist the window past the vent visors to ensure that the window deflectors are properly seated. Keep your windows closed for 24 hours to allow the weatherstripping to form around the window visors and ensure proper adhesion.
