Installation

No-drill installation makes the Putco Boss Locker Bed Rails an easy mount to your truck.

Out of the box, you’ll need to assemble castings and rubber expansion blocks to the ends of the rail tubes, one on each end. Once this is finished, the rails are ready to go on the truck by simply setting the assembled bed rails down into the stake pockets of your pickup.

Some trucks may require you to cut out the stake pockets on your bed. This can typically be done by taking a Dremel tool or similar device and cutting out the square outline of your stake pockets. Use a hex key/Allen wrench to secure the rubber expansion blocks into the stake pockets, as these are what hold the rails in place. You can use the provided Allen wrench, or you may find an Allen head on an impact wrench makes the job go more quickly, as you’ll want to make sure the rails are well secured. 

Once rails are secured, you are equipped with a tried and tested solution to keep the contents of our truck bed safely in place, mile after mile.
