As long as the steps do not go into the wheel well these flaps will work. The flaps install inside the wheel well of the vehicle

The description says for front wheel wells but the photos show the rear. Can they also be used for the rear wheel wells?

They can be used on the rear as well. They were just designed to work on the front wheels. Some people do install them on the rear
