How is it. These mudflaps are advertised for $229. per pair (rear, dually), but the optional brackets ADD over $400 more? Something doesn't sound right.

The flaps you saw were 19" wide universal dually flaps, https://www.sharptruck.com/truck-hardware-gb1924f-b. They are $229 per pair, these are not large enough to fit the new body style Super Duty. Those trucks require a 21" wide mud flap, https://www.sharptruck.com/truck-hardware-gb2124f-b. Those are $293.40 without any brackets or mounting hardware. The flaps you are looking at are the custom fit flaps for the truck. They come with all the mounting brackets; hardware and the flaps are pre-routered so the mounting points all align for a quick and easy installation.
