Is the puck system included that fits under the box or is that bought separately

The puck system comes with the truck from the factory. If the truck does not have the puck system you need these two parts:

I know the website indicates this hitch will fit a 2020-21 GMC Sierra 3500 with 6 3/4’ bed, but I believe the GM puck system changed between 2020 and 2021 models. Please confirm this hitch will fit the factory installed puck system on my 2021 GMC 3500. Thank you.

A brother to the Companion, the Companion Slider for GM Pucks uses the same great coupler but with a base designed to utilize the GM factory hitch platform. Like every hitch in our Companion series, it offers a smooth ride and easy hook-up and removal for a level bed—all without sacrificing sturdiness, reliability, or towing power.

Built-In Slider

Most often used on trucks with 6' beds, a slider helps to eliminate clearance problems during slow-speed turns. When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, at slow speeds you can use a slider to slide the fifth-wheel hitch (and the trailer) toward your truck's tailgate and past the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less-restricted turning.
