Step By Step Install Instructions

At a glance

Reviews are overwhelmingly positive: customers say the plugs are an ideal, clean-looking solution for covering the factory mud flap/splash guard holes with excellent paint match and simple installation. A smaller set of reviews note fitment challenges (especially rear holes), occasional breakage during install, and that the price/paint durability could be better.

What Customers Liked

  • Frequently described as “spot on,” “perfect,” and matching factory color/gloss (e.g., Dark Ash Metallic, Summit White), blending in like OEM and even resembling factory sensors.
  • Front plugs commonly reported as perfect fit/snug/tight; make the hole nearly unnoticeable and give a clean, factory-like look after mud flap delete.
  • Most say they “snap/pop right in” and install in seconds/minutes; often note removing the factory mud flaps takes longer than installing the plugs.
  • Used after removing mud flaps for bigger tires/wheels, lifts, spacers; helps avoid rubbing and frees wheel-well clearance while improving appearance.
  • Seen as cheaper than $150 delete kits/trim options; some call them an inexpensive fix and half the cost of other sites.
  • Many mention fast shipping (2–3 days), professional packaging, personalized note/card, and responsive support/replacements when issues occurred.

Things to Consider

  • Multiple reviews say the kit is designed for front holes; rear holes can be slightly smaller/shorter and may require filing/shaving tabs, widening the hole, trimming clips, using a hair dryer to soften, or using 3M tape/glue.
  • Some found them hard to push in (needing force/two thumbs) and broke clips/one plug during install; a few had to reorder or use tape to hold a broken piece.
  • A handful say they’re “a little expensive” for plastic plugs, though still acceptable given the outcome.
  • Occasional report of slight gap or light reflecting at angles drawing the eye to the area.
  • One review reported paint chipping/cracking after a week and wouldn’t repurchase.
  • One reviewer wished plugs were included with mud flap purchase and had a color dropdown option bundled.

Great Fender Plugs for your Silverado

Installed the front fender plugs and matched my truck perfect .  They were simple to push into place and stay very secure.

I also purchased the same front fender plugs and cut the Back tabs off and used 3M tape to fill in the fender plug holes on the rear fender as well.  Matched perfect on the back half of the truck as well.

Very happy I found these . Price is awesome and they look great I bought 2 for the front then was curious as to why they wouldn’t fit the back so upon more research the hole in the back is just a little bit shorter so I went ahead shaved the ends of the hole a bit with a drill bit and a file and snapped them right in . Saved 120 dollars by going with these plugs instead of the plastic offered by mcgaughys. And also if you have any fabrication skills you can cut out your old mudflaps some covers where the screws go into the body for a cleaner look thanks sharptruck

Description says they wont fur on the rear mud flap holes but have seen 2 trucks with these in the rear holes. Why?
