Universal fit mud flap brackets from Truck Hardware provide an easier way to attach Gatorback mud flaps to your truck. These brackets are available for single wheel & dually pickup trucks and are manufactured out of aluminum or stainless steel for long lasting use.
Mud flap brackets are a necessity for properly installing your mud flaps. These universal brackets ensure that your mud guards are securely attached to your pickup. Since the Gatorback line of mud flaps uses heavy-duty rubber, these universal mounting brackets & hangers help to eliminate mud flap tear-offs due to improper installation.
What Brackets Do You Need?
Universal "L" Brackets are available in standard duty and the recommended heavy-duty options to add support during installation of rear full style mud flaps. These brackets attach to the pinch weld of the truck box to support the weight of the flaps, you must also use the self-tapping screws to attach the mud flaps to the outside lip of the wheel well openings.
Universal Dually "L" Brackets are made to support the weight of 19" or 21" wide dually mud flaps. These brackets attach to the pinch weld of the truck box and extend out to the lip of the fender wells. For proper installation, you must also use the self-tapping screws to attach the mud flaps to the outside lip of the wheel well openings.
Off-set or kick-back brackets work awesome if you have a lifted truck or any truck with oversized wheels. The purpose of these brackets is to hold the mud guards away from the tires to prevent rubbing. Using full-style 12" wide mud flaps, you cut the flaps off at the desired length horizontally and attach to the universal off-set brackets. These brackets require that you drill into the lip of the wheel well for installation.
