The TruXedo Pro X15 is the quietest, most refined soft roll-up tonneau cover on the market — it simply doesn't flap in the wind. It's the top of TruXedo's soft-cover lineup, built for truck owners who want sleek, ultra-low-profile styling without giving up durability or everyday convenience. Roll it back for full bed access, roll it closed to keep tools, gear, and cargo covered and out of sight, and drive away without the drumming and fluttering that plague cheaper covers.
It's an ideal upgrade for daily drivers who want a quieter ride and a cleaner look, contractors who need their load covered and dry between jobsites, and weekend haulers who want protection that goes on in half an hour and comes off in seconds when it's time for a full-size load. The appeal is a combination you rarely get in one cover: genuinely quiet performance thanks to the no-flap RTxTechWeave fabric and DriveTight tension system, a flush, factory-look profile that's 33% lower than the Lo Pro, effortless one-finger operation, and a limited lifetime warranty backing it all.
Key Features
- No-flap 5-layer RTxTechWeave fabric – Textured 120-grade woven composite stretches tighter than traditional vinyls to eliminate flapping and deliver a genuinely quiet ride
- 15° X15 side rails, 33% lower profile – Positions the cover nearly flush with your bed rails for a sleek, flush-mount look that cuts wind drag and noise
- DriveTight tension control system – Keeps the cover always-tight and flutter-free with no manual adjustments needed for the life of the cover
- Clamp-on, no-drill installation in under 30 minutes – A simple one-person install with minimal tools, no cutting or drilling, plus a patented quick-release handle for tool-free removal in seconds
Engineered to Stay Quiet, Tight, and Tough
The heart of the Pro X15 is its no-flap, 5-layer RTxTechWeave overlay — a textured, 120-grade woven composite (not ordinary vinyl) that stretches tighter than traditional cover materials. That tension is what kills the flapping and drumming you hear from lesser soft covers at highway speed. The matte-black woven finish also resists dirt and glare, so it stays looking sharp with minimal fuss, and it complements the OEM blacked-out trim on most modern trucks.
The X15 15° side rails are the styling and aerodynamic story. By angling the rails, TruXedo drops the cover to sit nearly flush against your bed rails — a 33% lower profile than the Lo Pro — which trims wind drag, reduces flapping, and gives the truck a clean, integrated look rather than a cover perched on top of the bed. Underneath, exclusive aluminum cross-frame reinforcements provide real structure, preventing the sagging and pooling that cheap imports suffer under rain, hail, and snow.
Holding it all together is the patented DriveTight tension control system, which maintains constant tension automatically — no periodic hand-tightening, no seasonal readjustment, no flutter, for the life of the cover. The patented RTxGrip multi-tiered hook-and-loop closure grips hard and stays sealed in all conditions. Day to day, operation is effortless: the one-finger trigger latch releases with a single pull, the cover rolls tight and true thanks to exclusive stay-straight controls, and when you need 100% of your bed back, the patented quick-release handle removes the whole cover in seconds with no tools.
This is a cover built for real climates. The Pro X15 has been tested from −40°F to 180°F and up to 95% humidity, proven in service from Alaska to Florida, and is proudly assembled in the USA. Fitment is vehicle-specific by truck, model year, and bed length, so ordering the correct part number for your application is essential.
Installation
- Difficulty: Level 1 — Simple Installation. This is a one-person job.
- Time estimate: Approximately 30 minutes (well under an hour); removal is even faster.
- Tools required: Minimal — basic hand tools.
- Drilling/modifications: None. The clamp-on system requires no cutting, drilling, or modification to your truck.
- Removal: The patented quick-release handle allows full, tool-free removal in seconds when you need complete bed access.
- Important post-install step: Check the rail clamps for tightness after about a week of driving, and periodically after that. This is both good practice and a warranty condition.

Care & Maintenance
Read this section carefully — TruXedo states that failure to follow these care instructions and warnings will void your warranty.
- Cleaning: Clean with mild automotive soap and water only.
- Do NOT use conditioners containing silicone or petroleum. These products can damage the fabric and will void coverage. (This rules out many common vinyl/rubber "protectant" sprays — when in doubt, soap and water.)
- Secure the cover when driving: The cover must be secured at all points when the vehicle is in motion. If it isn't fully closed with the rear latch engaged, it must be completely rolled up and secured at the cab with both provided retainer straps.
- Never drive with the cover partially open. Fully closed and latched, or fully rolled and strapped — nothing in between.
- Keep cargo off the tarp: Cargo should not contact the fabric at any point. Protrusions stress the material, and shifting cargo pressing against it can cause damage.
- Check rail clamps for tightness after a week of driving following installation, and periodically thereafter.
- Do not roll the cover into the rear cab window.
- Winter note: In freezing conditions, ice can adhere to the fabric; clear it gently rather than prying or scraping at the material.
Warranty
The Pro X15 is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty — TruXedo's top warranty tier — supported by a US-based product expert and customer service team.
- Covered: Defects in materials and workmanship, for the original purchaser.
- Not covered / voids warranty: Damage from accidents, neglect, unforeseeable or unreasonable use, improper installation, improper servicing or removal, modifications, acts of God, and normal wear and tear. Failure to follow the care instructions above (including using silicone or petroleum-based conditioners, or driving with the cover partially open) will also void the warranty.
*This is a summary; refer to TruXedo's full warranty terms for complete details, limitations, and exclusions.*
Terms to Know
- Soft roll-up tonneau cover: A truck bed cover made of flexible fabric on a rail system that rolls up toward the cab, rather than folding in panels or lifting as a hard lid. It gives you fast, full bed access.
- RTxTechWeave: TruXedo's textured, 120-grade woven 5-layer composite cover material. It's a woven fabric composite — not standard vinyl — engineered to stretch tighter and resist flapping.
- 120-grade: A measure of the fabric's weight/quality grade; higher-grade material means a denser, more durable weave.
- DriveTight: TruXedo's automatic tension control system, which keeps the cover taut for its lifetime without you having to hand-adjust it.
- RTxGrip: TruXedo's patented multi-tiered hook-and-loop (Velcro-style) closure that seals the cover along the bed rails.
- X15 / 15° rails: Side rails angled at 15 degrees so the cover sits nearly flush with the C2bed rails — the source of the cover's extra-low profile.
- Low profile: How far the cover sits above the bed rails. A lower profile means less wind drag, less noise, and a cleaner, more factory-integrated look.
- Clamp-on, no-drill installation: The rails clamp to your bed rails without drilling holes or modifying the truck — so it's removable with no permanent damage.
- Cross-frame reinforcements: Aluminum support bows running across the bed beneath the fabric that keep the cover from sagging under the weight of rain, hail, or snow.
