Window Deflectors for 2007 Equinox

I ordered a set (4) of window deflectors for a 2007 Equinox.  The price including shipping was the best found online and delivery was quick.  The front deflectors went on just per instructions.  The rear deflectors were probably for the wrong year model that I ordered.  The adhesive on the rear deflectors was on the wrong side, which means the deflectors stuck to the glass vice sticking to the window gasket.  I am trying to figure out a way to use a different adhesive and get them to stick to the gasket.

1995 Toyota T-100 SR-5. This is my third set of Ventshades for this truck. This is the first set of "in-channel" shades I have ever installed for any of my vehicles. I did install some in-channel shades for my mother-in-law's 2013 Chevrolet Equinox and they had some problems. The ones for my truck fit perfectly!  No adhesive!  My old ones were VentShade brand and external which involved adhesive. It took me 2 hours per window to get all the adhesive off from those!  The installation of the new ones took me 2 minutes, tops!  They "pop" into place and if you follow the instructions implicitly, they install beautifully!  Now, as long as they stay in place, I will be a very happy customer!  These are much more streamlined and fit closer to the window so I expect the wind noise with the windows open to be significantly less as well.
AWESOME !!

WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors are custom-fit rain guards that install directly into your vehicle's window channel, letting you crack your windows for fresh air without letting the weather in. They redirect rain, snow, and bugs away from partially open windows while allowing air to circulate — so you get real ventilation in conditions where you'd normally have to seal everything up. Because they're precision-machined to your exact make and model, they sit low and tight against the vehicle for a factory-installed look, not a bulky aftermarket add-on.

They're a smart upgrade for just about any driver: commuters who want to vent a hot car without running the A/C, anyone who parks outside and wants windows cracked without broadcasting it, drivers who battle foggy windows on humid or freezing mornings, and enthusiasts who want the clean OEM appearance that in-channel deflectors deliver. The payoff is comfort, protection, and style at once — you keep upholstery safe from rain and staining, cut down on interior heat, and give your vehicle a sharper profile. Backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty and made in America, they're the kind of upgrade you buy once and forget about.

Key Features

  • In-channel, no-tape installation – Mounts inside the window channel for a seamless OEM appearance, with no exterior tape that can damage your paint over time
  • Aerospace-grade acrylic construction – Flexible yet strong, it resists chipping, shattering, and UV damage, so your deflectors won't yellow, crack, or fly off
  • Fresh air in any weather – Vent your windows in rain, snow, or heat while keeping precipitation out — protecting upholstery from water damage, staining, and mold
  • Custom-fit to your exact vehicle – Precision-machined to your year, make, and model for perfect alignment, a sleek low profile, and a factory-installed look

Comfort, Protection, and a Cleaner Look
The real value here is year-round versatility. Fresh air and ventilation is the headline: with deflectors installed, you can leave the windows cracked in a downpour and still keep the cabin dry, which also means protecting seats, door panels, and carpet from the water damage, staining, and mold that come from an unexpectedly open window. In hot weather, that constant airflow lets built-up interior heat escape — a genuine benefit if you don't have A/C, or simply don't want to overwork it.

Fog prevention is the underrated one. Improved air circulation helps prevent condensation and fogging on humid days and freezing winter mornings, so you spend less time waiting for a clear windshield and more time driving. That same airflow helps naturally regulate cabin temperature. And for security and peace of mind, once installed, you can crack or vent your windows while parked without it being obvious from the outside that they're open at all.

Material and design are where WeatherTech separates itself from generic rain guards. These are crafted from aerospace-grade acrylic — a material chosen because it's flexible and strong, resisting chipping, shattering, and UV degradation, and it won't break during installation when done correctly. The in-channel design matters just as much as the material: unlike tape-on visors that stick to the outside of your door frame, in-channel deflectors slot into the window channel for a snug, rattle-free fit and a seamless look, with no exterior adhesive to degrade your paint over the years. Add the sleek, low-profile shape, and you get a deflector that reads as factory equipment rather than an accessory.

Everything is custom-fit to your exact make and model, which eliminates the guesswork — no universal one-size-fits-all compromises, no gaps, no rattling. Each set is designed, engineered, and manufactured in America. A note on expectations:  *may help reduce wind buffeting when windows are open, but don't entirely eliminate it.

Installation
Installation is refreshingly simple, and it's one of the biggest reasons people choose in-channel deflectors.

  • Tools required: Typically none — the deflectors flex into the window channel by hand, following the included instructions.
  • Drilling/modifications: None. No drilling, and no exterior tape on most applications.
  • Time estimate: Most owners finish in minutes, not hours. Read the instructions through first — a little prep makes it go smoothly.
  • Fitment notes: Custom-fit by year, make, and model. Sets are offered as front-only or front & rear depending on the vehicle. On some applications (notably rear deflectors for certain extended-cab pickups), the rear pieces may use a self-adhesive backing instead of a pure channel fit — check the instructions for your vehicle.
  • Compatibility: They're designed not to interfere with your power windows' safety features.

Follow the included instructions closely; proper installation is what ensures a secure, rattle-free fit and keeps the acrylic from being stressed.

What's Included

  • Custom-fit Side Window Deflectors for your selected vehicle — front-only (1 pair) or front & rear (2 pairs), depending on the set you choose
  • Installation instructions

*Configuration, piece count, and part number vary by vehicle. Confirm the set that matches your year, make, and model.*

Care & Maintenance
Acrylic is durable but needs the right products — a little care keeps these looking new:

  • Routine cleaning: Wash with mild soap and water and a soft, clean cloth or microfiber. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Avoid harsh cleaners: Skip ammonia-based glass cleaners, harsh solvents, and abrasive pads — these can cloud, craze, or scratch acrylic. Use a cleaner formulated as acrylic- or plastic-safe.
  • Car washes: When properly installed, your deflectors can safely go through a car wash. Automatic "brush-style" car washes are not recommended, since the brushes can catch or scuff the deflectors.
  • Periodic inspection: Occasionally confirm the deflectors are still seated securely in the window channel, especially after cleaning or heavy weather.
  • Winter tip: Take care when clearing ice and snow near the window channel; avoid prying or scraping directly against the acrylic.

Terms to Know

  • Side window deflector / rain guard / vent visor / wind deflector: All names for the same product — a shaped panel above your side window that lets you crack the window while deflecting rain, snow, and debris away from the opening.
  • In-channel installation: The deflector slots into the window channel (the track the glass slides in), rather than sticking to the outside of the door frame. It gives a seamless, factory look with no exterior tape.
  • Tape-on installation: The alternative style, where a visor is adhered to the outside of the door frame with tape. It's more visible and the adhesive can affect paint over time — which is why WeatherTech uses in-channel instead.
  • UV-resistant: Treated to resist discoloration, yellowing, and degradation from long-term sun exposure.
  • OEM appearance: "Original Equipment Manufacturer" — meaning it looks like it came from the factory with the vehicle.
  • Wind buffeting: The pulsing air pressure or "wub-wub" effect you feel with windows partly open at speed. Deflectors may help reduce it but don't eliminate it entirely.

Options & Fitment

  • Dark Tint - The classic smoked acrylic finish; blends with factory tinted glass
  • Matte Black - A non-glossy black finish, offered on select applications
  • Front only (1 pair) - Two-piece set for the front doors
  • Front & rear (2 pairs) - Four-piece set covering all four doors
