Truck Hardware Gatorback 6.7L Power Stroke Mud Flaps - Set of 4 - Fits 2017-2022 Ford F-250/F-350

Quality product sturdy !

I was concerned that these would have too much "bling" on the truck with the stainless plates but they looked very good and do not make the truck look overdone.  I wanted a heavy duty rubber flap and these are a nice thick rubber.  

Pros:  Heavy Duty Rubber, Mounting Hardware Included, Look Great!
Cons: Installation instructions are not good.  Mounting holes/slots in the flaps are customer installed.

The mounting instructions (paper version) included with the mud flaps are horrible.  Although the 3d exploded view will show you where all the hardware will go.  The best installation instructions is to use the YouTube videos.  These cover most of the factory options except inner wheel liners for the front.  For the rear I have wheel liners, so I had to drill a hole in the wheel well liner as stated in the instructions.  The underneath bracket I tweaked a bit because the angled tab that bolted to the box was at an incorrect angle.  It only needed to be corrected about 5 degrees, then the bracket will be parallel to the ground.  I preferred not to put the slots in the mud flap because I felt this was another area to pack dirt into.  I created a template after installing the mounting plates and leveled this out then transferred the holes to the flap.  Just used a 3/16 drill for the mounting holes.  Because I was able to just use the holes, I opted out using the large bracket that helped hold on the mud flap.  For the front flaps, there was nothing in installation video in relation to the front wheel plastic liners.  When I would put on the inner mounting bracket the plastic tabs would pop out because it was flush against the wheel liner.  I talked with customer service at Sharp Truck and they told me to flip the plastic inserts the opposite way.  I had to do this for the two plastic inserts towards the lower outside of the wheel liner (next to fender).  I also had to put a small bend in the mounting plate to match the curvature of the wheel liner.  Because the mounting plate was flush to the liner, I used an awl to poke holes in the liner for most of the holes (after all the mounting hardware was tightened and positioned correctly).  Then when I installed the flap the screws would do through the liner.  It's to bad in the front I still needed to use the bright aluminum plate over the flap to hold it on.  This was because the top hole to hold the flap on was not through the flap.  It was offset and required to use the plastic spacer.  I will probably eventually paint this black because it really sticks out!  I took my time during installation and they look very sharp on the truck!

These sure didn't seem to be custom fit for our 2017 F250 or for the Gatorback Mudflaps they were designed for.  We were able to use only three of the pre-drilled holes, ended up drilling extra holes - which we had hoped to avoid by paying for custom fit mounting brackets; and we cut a whole lot of extra mudflap open that didn't need to be cut....but followed the directions to a "T".  Darn!  Just not what we had expected!
