Truck Hardware Gatorback Mud Flap Brackets - 12" Rear

These sure didn't seem to be custom fit for our 2017 F250 or for the Gatorback Mudflaps they were designed for. We were able to use only three of the pre-drilled holes, ended up drilling extra holes - which we had hoped to avoid by paying for custom fit mounting brackets; and we cut a whole lot of extra mudflap open that didn't need to be cut....but followed the directions to a "T". Darn! Just not what we had expected!

Truck Hardware Gatorback Mud Flap Brackets - 12" Rear

2020 F250 Super Duty FX4

Ordered the rear set of 12" X 26" flaps and Brackets for my 2020 Super Duty. The installation took longer than expected due to having to use the template and drill holes, cut slots, etc. My truck also did not have the factory rear wheel well liners and I had purchased some from a different vendor. I installed everything at the same time so drilling holes to line up the liner and the brackets took quite a bit of planning. Overall, everything turned out well in the end. I did paint the brackets black so as to not have them stand out so brightly against the black flaps. Time will tell on the durability of the flaps and brackets.

Rear f350 mudflap brackets

They were pretty simple to use and didn’t have to drill any holes on the pickup. I didn’t buy gatorback mudflaps, I used Luverne 12 inch mudflaps and it still worked the same just didn’t use all holes on the mudflap bracket.

Poor Fitment and Quality

I had the extreme misfortune of having to install this for my 2022 f350. I was told shipping would only take 3-4 days based on my location but took nearly 2 weeks. The "no-drill bracket kit" is a joke, I still had to use a drill to install them. The hardware is very cheap and poorly put together, some bolts are excessively long and some are too short. I had to modify some parts in order to make the kit fit. I would have assumed that it would fit great given the price.

Jordan, I am sorry you are not happy with the brackets for the truck. With these brackets Gatorback does send them to Ford to install on every model year truck to have them certified. There should be no modifying needed. It is possible some of the hardware could have been mispacked. I see you are in Fargo. If you want to swing by our office we can take a look at them and see what is happening with those.

These brackets are a Ford authorized accessory. That gives you piece of mind that using this will not effect the warranty on the truck. These brackets are designed to be 100% no body drill so the paint and the aluminum body of the truck will stay intact. These brackets work with the full rectangle style 12" wide mud flaps. They are a 100% aluminum construction and include all the hardware and fasteners needed to install your new Ford Super Duty mud flaps. If you have the Lariat protection package with the liners there are two small cuts that need to be made to relieve the pressure on the bracket pressing against the inner liner.

Manufacturer Warranty-

Gatorback mudflaps are backed by a Limited lifetime warranty. This warranty covers rubber replacement (ex- tear offs) for the lifetime of the product to the original owner. It does not cover damage caused by abuse, or regular wear and tear on brackets, plates, or mounting hardware.
