Mom gave me flaps for the dually for Christmas. When I felt how heavy they were I knew the plastic inner liners would never hold them. I put them aside thinking I would have to fabricate something to mount them to. Started surfing YouTube for ideas and ran across these on SharpTruck. Reasonably priced compared to some that I saw. Decided to give them a try. I was skeptical when the box arrived. It looked like it had made the trip back and forth to (“Made In”) Taiwan several times. Pretty beat up looking and labels had been Sharpied over a couple times. Took longer to get here than I anticipated. Amazon & Walmart has us spoiled I guess. I threw it over in a corner in the shop until I had time to mess with it. We only use the dually to pull the toy hauler so no hurry, it’s winterized for a couple more months. Weather been crappy & I’m pretty caught up on Honeydo’s so decided to spend a day in the shop today. Opened the box, all the parts were bagged and shrink wrapped intact as advertised. The galvanized metal was a heavier gauge than the weight of the box lead me to believe, bonus! Instructions were straight forward, simple to follow. I prefitted everything using some plastic clamps, a piece of scrap 6x6 and a 2x4 wedge to see how it would go. I left the tires on the truck (instructions recommend removing them...NOT). I took the inner liners loose and folded them up over the tires to get to the bracket that needed drilled and bolted to the pinch weld. I opted to bolt that to the truck first, then attach the flap mounted to bracket after refastening the inner liner. That’s supposed to be all there is to it and would probably be fine but I decided to run a 5/16 self tapping screw through the flap& bracket into the outer plastic flare on the truck. There are also 2 holes on the main metal fender lip of the truck that could be used to bolt through the flap but after tightening everything up I decided I would try this and see how well it holds up. I’m completely satisfied with the product and will use SharpTruck for future purchases again.
I love these beautiful easy to install mud flaps. They add a high level of protection from rocks mud and road debris. These mud flaps are very well made and will last many years.
You have to get these brackets!! Everything fit perfect. The accuracy of this design was awesome. I’m usually disappointed in the alignment, fit and finish of products like this. Not this time! Went together perfect and made installing a snap. Probably 30 minutes installing the first side and 15 on the second side. Easy!
A little expensive but truly worth it. These Mud Flaps are heavy duty you won’t be disappointed. Very easy to install with the recommended mounting bracket (Silverado).
These take awhile to install, especially if you have wheel well liners - but they’re worth it. Cutting the bolt holes in the rubber flaps is a work out too..pay the extra $20 and have them precut. Great, personable service with fast shipping on a quality product will have me ordering again thru sharptruck.
I had previously put these on my 2018 f450 and when my dad got a new truck I knew what to get him for it. These are some of the best quality mudflaps I have seen.
I purchased these mud flaps solely based on the looks and the ship time, when i bought my mudflaps it said "ships in 3 hours, in stock". In reality, i had to email the company multiple times to finally get a tracking number, then found out it ships out of Canada, from ordering to receiving my product took over 2 weeks. I probably would not order from this company again just because i feel the shipping info on their site is VERY deceptive and misleading. I shouldn't have had to call and email this company numerous times to get a status of my order and the shipping for this item should have said 2-3 weeks. The quality of the product is great, hence the 4 stars i gave it, but service and shipping i would rate as 1 star.
