Overall very happy with these mud flaps. It took some time to put them on since the trim pieces on my 2023 RAM 2500 (crew cab) had to be cut way down to fit. I had previously added Bushwacker OE fender flares which also made this project harder. I had to purchase eight 2" screws to reach through a few points (2 per mud flap) on the fender flares. The toughest part was the decision to cut down four of the small OEM plastic trim pieces. You'll see the before and after in one of my photos. You'll notice the trim pictured was used to cover over half of the square hole in the front mud flap that would have been an open space without it. You'll also notice I didn't do a perfect job of cutting on the top tip of the trim piece on the first rear flap. I learned and did a little bit better of a job on the second one where you'll see the tip curves upwards more and presents a much better look. I hand cut the trim pieces and didn't get perfectly straight cuts....according to my wife! :)
These are sharp looking mud flaps, thick and definitely not cheap looking. I like them but due to the fender flares and trim mods it was definitely a much more difficult install than I expected.
These really dress up the truck. Perfect compliment to the Denali 3500 HD. Installed without taking the wheels off. Instructions were clear and make the job much easier. Thanks SharpTruck for your help through this process.
These mud flaps provide the most coverage and protection of any mud flaps I could find, and blow away the ridiculously small and ineffective factory flaps. The two sets installed in about 90 minutes and I took my time. The complimentary YouTube video was very well done and assisted with the install. On a 2023 Nissan Frontier SV with 265/70-17 tires I have 5" of ground clearance from the bottom of the flap to the ground in the front, and 8" in the back. I would prefer more clearance in the front. Many put leveling kits on these trucks, which would would improve that clearance 1-2". The attaching screws for the front flaps are not all black, though all other hardware is. I would prefer all matched, but I just dabbed some paint on the screw heads and all is fine--very minor observation that most will not even notice or care about. If you run bigger tires with burly shoulder tread you may get rubbing when turning, at least without a lift or leveling kit. As a guy who is extremely particular about my things and keeping them nice, and am VERY glad I purchased these Gatorback Mud Flaps!
These gatorback mudflaps are made strong but give your truck a stylish look and really do a great job of keeping the snow and mud/ rocks from collecting or chipping the back lower parts of your pickup bed! They also keep the backside of you rear bumper free of packed snow. Yeah they are a little pricey, but they are built to last!!
