Covercraft UVS100 Sunscreen Installation

This video shows how quick and easy it is to install a UVS100 Windshield Sunscreen from Covercraft.

Covercraft UVS100 Heat Shield
The Covercraft UVS100 ("S" is for Silver color) fits snugly in my '19 Subaru Ascent and does not interfere with the eyesight system.  I do have to push it down slightly into where the dash meets the bottom of the windshield and then push up so it doesn't bump the eyesight system, then I can put the visors down to hold it in place.  There's a very minor amount of space on the sides where it doesn't cover 100% of the windshield, but I doubt that matters as far as what it's designed to do...and if it was an 1/8 to 1/4 inch wider it might not be able to be positioned as easily.  SharpTruck's price for the product was the best I could find and their customer service was superb, but they order directly from Covercraft which actually ships the product...not sure if it's because the Ascent is a new vehicle, but it took about three weeks for Covercraft to ship it out to me...they may have been slightly backordered, but not a big deal.  I also bought the same item when I bought my '12 Subaru Forester.  Covercraft customizes/designs their products to fit specific vehicles...they are not a one size fits all.  The product seems to do a great job of keeping the heat out of the car as much as you can expect from a well-designed heat shield, and I live in an area that has a number of triple digit days.  Hope this helps someone with their decision.

The best windshield shade - Covercraft UVS-100
I live in south Florida where temperatures have been in the 80s and 90s since last April and have tried all the roll up windshield shades.  They're thin, heat transfers right through them and they curl up on the ends after usage.  The accordion style Covercraft is a perfect fit on the top, bottom and edges but could be a bit tighter fit around the rearview mirror.  It doesn't matter though because what heat isn't reflected seems to be absorbed by the thick construction.  This thing is well made.  The only complaint I have if any, is that Covercraft should provide a storage bag at the cost.  I'd recommend this product for anyone with a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.  The Sharp Truck sales and service were excellent.

The UVS100 Custom sunscreens not only help reduce the interior temperature when it's hot outside, they also protect the vehicle interior from damaging UV rays that are present all year long. These sunscreens are custom fitted to your vehicle to ensure maximum windshield coverage and ease of installation. Sometimes called heat shields, sun shields or UV shields, sunscreens are useful at the beach, work, airport or anywhere you park. This premium quality, custom patterned folding sunscreen has a silver reflective fabric on the outer side, soft felt on the inside to help protect your interior.

Installs in 3 easy steps!
Unfold your UVS100 Custom Sunscreen with the reflective side facing outward and place it as flat as possible onto the dash area. If there are assist handles on the windshield pillars, make sure the Sunscreen fits in front of them. Then slide it forward until it reaches the bottom of the windshield ahead of the defroster vents.
With both hands, lift the top of the UVS100 Custom Sunscreen into the windshield area. NOTE: Be careful to not bend the corners while installing, as damage to the inner insulator may occur.
Pull down each sun visor to hold the UVS100 Custom Sunscreen in place. In some cases, the Sunscreen may not reach all the way to the windshield pillars. This additional space is necessary to be able to install the Sunscreen without damaging it.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: UVS100 Custom Sunscreens do not cover the entire glass area on some vehicles. Windshield pillar post size and angle, rearview mirror shape and size, and additional sensors can prevent some Sunscreens from providing total blackout coverage.
