Care & Maintenance
- Clean the rubber regularly with a mild soap and water solution to remove dirt, mud and grime. Avoid harsh chemicals and petroleum-based cleaners, which can degrade rubber over time.
- Rinse thoroughly and let the flaps air dry. Proper care keeps the rubber flexible and extends its life.
- Wipe down the fiberglass-reinforced nylon brackets with a damp cloth and a mild pH-balanced soap.
- Thanks to the easy track system, you can slide the rubber out for more thorough cleaning whenever needed.
- Clean the black wrap plates with a soft cloth and a mild soap and water solution or mild automotive cleaner. Avoid abrasive materials and harsh chemicals that could damage the vinyl overlay, and dry the plates thoroughly to prevent water spots and preserve the deep black finish.
- Check the mounting hardware periodically and retighten if needed, especially after off-road or rough-road driving.
Warranty
Gatorback mud flaps are backed by a limited lifetime warranty on the rubber for the original owner, covering tears or damage to the rubber. If a flap is damaged due to normal wear and tear, let us know and we will send you a replacement piece of rubber at no charge. The nylon brackets carry a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Plates and mounting hardware are not covered by the warranty, including normal wear and tear on those parts. The warranty also does not cover damage caused by abuse, misuse or improper installation. To start a warranty claim, please provide product photos and proof of purchase.
