Gatorback mud flaps for the 2019-2027 RAM 2500 and 3500 come in several versions. Use this quick guide to make sure you pick the right one:
- With or without OEM fender flares - RAM 2500/3500 Gatorback sets come in two fits. The version marked "Fits with OEM fender trim only" is for trucks with factory fender flares, and the version marked "Does NOT fit with OEM fender trim" is for trucks without them. This set is the version for trucks WITHOUT OEM fender flares.
- Single rear wheel only - These flaps fit single rear wheel (SRW) trucks. They do NOT fit dually (dual rear wheel) trucks.
- Oversized tires or more clearance - Running bigger tires? The Gatorback Offset set uses fiberglass-reinforced nylon brackets with a 5/8" offset and an easy track system that lets you slide the rubber out. It fits trucks with OEM fender flares and fender liners.
- Choosing a style - This version is the American flag style. Installation
Installation is simple, with no body drilling required. The flaps use your truck's factory mounting points and existing fasteners, and if factory fasteners are not available, the additional hardware you need for a snug, secure fit is included. Each flap takes about 15 minutes to install with basic tools you already have at home, and the flaps install flush to the inside of the wheel well for a clean, professional-grade finish. Care & Maintenance
- Clean the rubber regularly with a mild soap and water solution to remove dirt, mud and grime. Avoid harsh chemicals and petroleum-based cleaners, which can degrade rubber over time.
- Rinse thoroughly and let the flaps air dry. Proper care keeps the rubber flexible and extends its life.
- Clean the stainless steel plates regularly with a mild soap and water solution. For tougher stains or minor surface corrosion, use a stainless steel cleaner made for 304 stainless steel or automotive use. Always dry the plates thoroughly to prevent water spots, and polish to maintain their shine.
- Check the mounting hardware periodically and retighten if needed, especially after off-road or rough-road driving.
Warranty
Gatorback mud flaps are backed by a limited lifetime warranty on the rubber portion of the flap only. This warranty covers rubber replacement (for example, tear-offs) for the lifetime of the product to the original owner. If a flap comes off the truck or is damaged due to normal wear and tear, let us know and we will send you a replacement piece of rubber at no charge.
Plates, brackets and mounting hardware are not covered by the warranty, including regular wear and tear on those parts. The warranty also does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse or improper installation. To start a warranty claim, please provide product photos and a copy of the installation or purchase receipt.

- Virgin rubber - Rubber that has not been recycled, providing greater durability and flexibility compared to reclaimed rubber.
- No-body-drill installation - An installation method that uses factory mounting points, so no holes are drilled and the truck's original structure and finish are preserved.
- Tire coverage - How far the flap extends below the fender (9.5" front and 9.25" rear). More coverage means more protection.
