Fourth time purchasing Gatorbacks. Love the quality and look. Went with the black plate version and added the metal decal to the rear flaps as seen. I contacted customer service to ensure they would work on my 2023 F-150 with factory wheel well liners. Installing was easy, no cutting required and appreciate the black hardware over previous versions.
I'm satisfied overall. You might have to pay premium price for it, but the manufacturing and quality of the materials are, in my opinion, top notch. The mudflaps with the plate gives it a heavy/solid feel, which is great, especially when you are driving fast, wet roads, and/or on rocky terrain. Additionally, I like how you can replace the plates in the event you get tired of the ones you have. I might buy either the High Country or Chevy logo plates in the future.
Additionally, the bolt that secures the mudflaps retention bracket against the fender flare is too short. I was glad that I have same size but longer bolts in my garage. I wish Gatorback could supply a bolt that is, at least, a half inch longer so that customers would not have a hard time. See pics.
Finally, my dually has the factory wheel liner installed. I had to trim the liners and cut slits on them to accommodate the bracket. Not sure if it compromises the integrity of the liner but we'll find out in the future. I probably could've cut slits instead off trimming parts on the liner but I didn't want to go through the trouble. See pics of the liner to see what it takes to install one.
