How To Clean Out A Smelly Garbage Can

We've all experience the horrible smell that comes out of a large garbage can that has been sitting in the warm summer heat and it isn't pleasant! Here is an easy and effective way to clean that can out and eliminate the smell that is emanating from that dirty garbage can.

1. Place your can outside in an area that can get wet.

2. Using an all-purpose cleaner, we prefer AutoMagic Triple Seven cleaner - apply a generous coating to the entire inside of the garbage can.

3. After allowing the all-purpose cleaner to soak in for 3-5 minutes, use a garden hose with spray head to hose the can down with water.

4. For heavily soiled garbage cans, you may need to repeat steps 2 & 3 if necessary.

5. Allow your can to dry and we recommend using trash can liners to help eliminate future smell problems and keep your can looking like new.
