Guide to Ford Mounting Brackets for Truck Hardware Mud Flaps

Year in and year out, Truck Hardware’s Gatorback logo mud flaps are among SharpTruck’s most popular sellers. For those looking to add branded attitude to their truck, these flaps provide a sleek, yet tough appearance.

Why use mounting brackets on your Ford truck?

While many drivers like to mount their flaps directly to the truck itself, there are different styles of mounting brackets available to strengthen the flap itself and provide better support. This will also result in a nice, straight flap that doesn’t curl, bend, roll, or tear over time. Highway haulers and off-roaders alike will find Truck Hardware’s Gatorback and Razorback bracket systems to be a simple install.

The ever-popular Ford mounting brackets are battle-tested and have been proven by thousands of customers to withstand countless miles of on and off-road wear. Options come in galvanized steel, aluminum, or stainless steel.

Universal Brackets

These brackets will fit any vehicle, unlike the custom flaps they might require some drilling to get them installed on the vehicle. You do have a few more options with the universal style.

Offset Brackets

These brackets will give you some more clearence from your tires. If your tires are oversized the offset brackets will keep the flap from rubbing on the tire. They are available in stainless steel and black powder coat, if black is more your style.

"L" Style Brackets

These are angled steel that you can attach to your truck frame. They come in a 12" size for standard flaps but they are also avaiable in a size for dually flaps. Don't be fooled by the simple design, these are effective brackets and will hold up as well as the flaps.

Brackets are specifically important for dually flaps, as they are very heavy and brackets help support their hefty anatomy.
